The Peak Tower

Hong Kong is a beautiful city with many wonderful landscapes. Many people visit the Peak Tower, where there are spectacular views of bustling Hong Kong city and the Victoria Harbor. It is located at Victorian Gap, in the Hong Kong Island. The Peak Tower is property of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Group. This steel and glass building has been variously described as a giant work, a massive half moon, or a colossal anvil.

The old Peak Tower was built in 1971; it hosted a luxurious restaurant and a coffee shop. The current Peak tower was designed by Terry Farrell, a British architect. This tower is an acquired taste that people have come to appreciate over time. The peak tower was closed in 2003 and it was re-opened in 2006 after an extensive renovation that added many amenities such as restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. The new designers moved the observation area up to tower roof for views that managed to surpass the already phenomenal views of the original deck down on a lower floor.

The Peak tower is open every day from 10 am to 11 pm. Admissions are HK$20 per adult and it is most easily purchased with an Octopus Card. You will find many delightful restaurants to try sushi or drink a coffee while you enjoy the amazing view from the Peak Tower. You must visit this tower, you will never forget Hong Kong on this way.
