Science Museum

Science Museum - Hong Kong The Hong Kong Science Museum opened on April 1991. Its permanent exhibition covers an area of 6,500 square meters, 745 of which are dedicated to:
  • The Special Exhibition Hall
  • A Lecture Hall of nearly 300 seats
  • A Laboratory
  • A Resource Centre
  • A Gift Shop and Book Shop
The four-story Museum houses over 500 exhibitions, 70% of which are interactive displays adapted for a hands-on experience fit for all ages. Its most prominent attraction is the Energy Machine, the largest of its kind in the world, but it also houses the mount-Everest exhibition and the DC-3 airplane.

Visiting Information:
  • It opens:

    • On weekdays: from 1pm to 9pm
    • On weekends and public holidays: from 10am to 9pm
    • On Christmas Eve and Lunar New Year's Eve until 5pm

  • It closes:

    • On Thursdays that are not public holidays
    • On the first two days of the Lunar New Year

  • Box Office closes an hour before the Museum

  • The museum is located in # 2 Science Museum Road, TsimShaTsui East Kowloon, Hong Kong.

  • Admission Prices: (Hong Kong Dollars)

    • Standard Ticket: $25
    • Groups (more than 20 people): $17.5
    • Fulltime students: $12.5
    • People with disabilities: $12.5
    • Elderly (above 60 years old): $12.5

  • Admission is free on Wednesdays
